Welcome to the official website of Paranormal Researchers and Investigators of Maine! As the name implies, we are a paranormal research group from the state of Maine. PRI-ME is a collection of people with many different backgrounds, from many different places that have come together because of our shared passion for the paranormal. Although we are located in Maine, we will travel to most places in the New England area. If we cannot travel to a specific location, we will attempt to connect a client with a reputable investigation team in their area. Our investigations are always free. Data is collected using hi-tech and scientific instruments and then we try to "debunk" or explain perceived paranormal activities.
PRI-ME specializes in trying to find logical, real world explanations for things that might otherwise seem unexplainable. Many paranormal experiences can be replicated or explained, however, there are also those that cannot. It is those type of situations that we hope to document and help validate paranormal research as a viable science. In the event that we cannot find real world explanations, we do our best to educate our clients and hopefully bring piece of mind. We will not leave our clients to deal with it alone. Not only do our clients have us as a resource, but they also have our extensive network of contacts and information as a resource as well.
PRI-ME utilizes scientific method on all of its cases. We use scientific equipment to collect, analyze and document paranormal activity. There are many groups that utilize a more spiritual approach to paranormal research. We have contacts with many groups who utilize both methods and do not recommend one over the other. We choose to use scientific method becuase it allows us to present tangable audio/video evidence to our clients. Please continue to read on to learn more about our group. We believe our clients.
It is easy enough to dismiss bumps in the night as merely a house settling or those mysterious footsteps in the hallway as someone getting up at night without you knowing. To our clients, their experiences are very real and in some cases very terrifying. When we are contacted by a client, we listen with an open mind and do not pre-judge the client or the situation. Most of our members have had paranormal experiences and know what it's like to be in similar situations.
We care about client privacy.
We hold our clients in the utmost regard and respect their right to privacy. Some home owners do not wish to have their findings made public. We respect the wishes of any client who does not want their information published. We do not publish names, locations or any personal information on our clients, unless they give us expressed written permission.
Children are a priority
All cases are important. They impact the lives of our clients. In the event that children are involved, these cases are considered high priority and are moved to the top of the list. Because children are highly impressionable and easily taken advantage of, it is important that we help them first and foremost.
